This handmade Rhodochrosite barrel bead has been individually crafted in our workshop in Wales using genuine natural Rhodochrosite and finished with a solid 925 sterling silver core. Every bead is individually made, ensuring the bead shown in the photographs is the exact one you will receive.

Rhodochrosite is admired for its beautiful shades of pink, ranging from soft blush tones through to deeper raspberry hues. The natural banding and patterns within the stone make every bead unique, giving each one its own individual character.

This bead is compatible with most European style charm bracelets including Pandora®, Trollbeads®, OHM®, Chamilia®, Biagi® and other bracelets using a similar core size.

About Rhodochrosite

Rhodochrosite is a distinctive manganese carbonate mineral recognised for its beautiful pink colouring and natural banded patterns. Fine examples have been discovered in Argentina, Peru, South Africa and the United States, with Argentine Rhodochrosite being particularly well known for its striking concentric bands.

The name Rhodochrosite comes from the Greek words rhodon, meaning rose, and chroma, meaning colour. It has been collected as both a decorative gemstone and a mineral specimen for many years due to its attractive appearance and relatively limited availability in jewellery quality material.

Natural Gemstone

Because this bead has been created from natural Rhodochrosite, variations in colour, pattern and banding are completely normal. These natural features are not imperfections but are part of what makes every genuine gemstone unique. No two beads will ever be exactly alike.

Caring for your Rhodochrosite Bead

Rhodochrosite is a relatively soft gemstone compared to quartz varieties, so care should be taken to avoid knocks or scratches against harder materials. Clean gently using a soft cloth and lukewarm water if required. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners, harsh jewellery cleaning solutions and prolonged exposure to household chemicals.

The sterling silver core may naturally tarnish over time and can easily be restored using a quality silver polishing cloth.
